CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard sophomore defender Alika Keene has been selected to the Jamaican U20 roster that will be participating in the CONCACAF Championship.
Keene and the Jamaican National U20 squad are training in Miami before heading to the Cayman Islands Jan. 9-19. Jamaica's first test will be Guatemala Thursday, Jan. 9 at 5 p.m. Jamaica will also take on the U.S. (and Keene's Crimson teammate Margaret Purce) Jan. 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Costa Rica (Jan. 13 at 5 p.m.).
Keene saw action in all 18 games for the Crimson, starting 17 at back. The Mount Dora, Fla., native was part of a back line that allowed just 0.81 goals per game, a figure that ranked second in the Ivy League. Keene helped Harvard to its 11th Ancient Eight crown, the first for Harvard since 2011 and its first 7-0-0 Ivy campaign since 1999.
