No. 1 Women’s Squash Tops No. 7 Cornell, 9-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.
– The No. 1 Harvard women's squash team picked up its eighth-straight victory with a 9-0 win over No. 7 Cornell at the Murr Center Squash Courts on Sunday afternoon.

The Crimson (8-0, 5-0 Ivy) recorded its sixth sweep over an opponent this season with the win over the Big Red, including the fourth consecutive decision by a 9-0 margin. Harvard has won 31-straight matches dating back to the 2014-15 season.

Sophomore Sabrina Sobhy set the tone with a sweep at No. 1, moving to 4-1 on the year at the top position. Sophomores Kayley Leonard and Sophia Mehta cruised to their second win of the weekend to remain undefeated.

The Crimson freshmen continued to have an impact, as Gina Kennedy, Amelia Henley and Eleonore Evans all earned wins in their respective matches.

Juniors Alyssa Mehta and Sue Ann Yong impressed with victories at No. 5 and No. 7, respectively, and senior Katie Tutrone dominated with a 3-0 win at No. 6.

Harvard women's squash will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 8 when it hosts Trinity at 4 p.m.
