CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After a strong academic effort last semester, the Harvard women's swimming and diving team received Scholar All-America accolades from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, the organization announced.
The Crimson women compiled a team grade-point average of 3.28 last semester to qualify for the award. Harvard recorded the second-highest team GPA amongst Ivy League schools and only Dartmouth's mark of 3.33 was better. Gardner-Webb University led all Division I squads with a 3.63 team mark.
The Team Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).
