Psych Sheet / Qualifiers by School

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior Meghan Leddy and freshman Courtney Otto are among the 281 student-athletes to have earned and invitation to the 2012 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships.

Leddy will be making her first appearance at the national championship meet after qualifying in the 200 back. She won the event at the Ivy League Championships last weekend, marking the third 200 back title of her career, but her fastest time of the year came on Dec. 2 at the Georgia Invitational when she broke her own school record with a time of 1:54.92. Leddy will enter the meet ranked 20th in the event.

Otto will also be making her first appearance at nationals after qualifying in the 400 IM and 200 fly. The freshman won the 400 IM at the Ivy Championships with a time of 4:10.22, blowing away the previous school record of 4:14.06 which was set in 2009 by Katherine Pickard '11. Otto placed second in the 200 fly at Ivies but like Leddy, her best time of 1:56.94 was set at the Georgia Invitational. Otto ranks 22nd in the 400 IM and is 25th in the 200 fly.

Leddy and Otto will be the first Crimson to compete at the meet since Alexandra Clarke '10 and Kate Mills '11 represented Harvard at the 2010 championships. The 2012 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships will be held March 15-17 in Auburn, Ala.
