Women's Swimming and Diving Has Three Named to CSCAA All-Scholar List
Three members of the Harvard women’s swimming and diving program have earned CSCAA Scholar All-America honors, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America announced on Monday. Sherry Liu, Stephanie Ferrell and Deirdre Clute all represented the Crimson on the Honorable Mention team with their outstanding performances in and out of the pool during the season.

Women's Swimming and Diving Announces Award Winners at Annual Banquet
The Harvard women's swimming and diving team announced its award winners during its end-of-the-season banquet at the Harvard Club of Boston April 6. Danielle Lee and Elina Leiviska headlined the list of winners by taking home the Sharon Beckman Award, presented to the Crimson's most outstanding swimmer, and the John Walker Award, for the best Harvard diver, respectively.

After a strong showing in the 100 backstroke and the 100 butterfly, Harvard sophomore Danielle Lee put forth a lifetime best effort in the 200 backstroke on Saturday to conclude her trip to the 2014 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships.

Leiviska, Mosca to Represent Harvard at NCAA Zone Qualifier
Junior Mike Mosca and freshman Elina Leiviska of Harvard's swimming and diving teams will participate in the NCAA Zone A Diving Meet this week held at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center in Christiansburg, Va. Mosca, who was a repeat Ivy League champion this season, and Leiviska have qualified for the zone meet based on results achieved during the 2013-14 swimming and diving season.

Danielle Lee to Represent Harvard at NCAA Championships
Harvard sophomore and Ivy League Champion in the 100 and 200 backstrokes Danielle Lee has qualified for the NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, the NCAA has announced. Lee will represent the Crimson as one of 281 swimmers and 41 divers to compete on March 20-22 in Minneapolis.

Women's Swimming and Diving Claims 2014 Ivy League Championship
Harvard claimed the 2014 Ivy League Women's Swimming and Diving Championship on Saturday after a tremendous effort in the three-day postseason event. The Crimson swam away from the rest of the Ancient Eight with 1409 points, defeating Princeton by 25 – the slimmest margin of victory for a winning squad since 2004. The title is Harvard's 11th overall and third in five years.

Savannah Butler, Margaret Chory, Shori Hijikata, Kyle Krueger, Paige Newell, Summer Schmitt and Daniella Suarez will represent the Crimson in the two-day event.

After returning from its winter break training trip overseas in Spain, the Harvard women's swimming and diving team looks to get back to competition on Saturday as it hosts Brown in the Crimson’s only home dual this season. Harvard leads the all-time series against Brown, 27-9, including 10 straight victories. The Crimson has topped the Bears in every year since 2001 and has not let Brown within 40 points of winning a dual.

The Harvard women’s swimming and diving team bounced back from a season-opening loss with two resounding wins over Ivy League rivals Dartmouth, 201-99, and Cornell, 196-104, on Saturday in Karl Michael Pool. Seven individual Crimson earned event wins, which added with victories in both relays gave Harvard (2-1, 2-1 Ivy League) a total of 11 wins on the afternoon.

The Harvard women’s swimming team picked up nine event wins – and set six pool records -- against Ivy League rival Columbia, but it ultimately was not enough for the Crimson (0-1, 0-1 Ivy League) to overcome the Lions (1-0, 1-0 Ivy League) as the hosts dropped Harvard, 163.5-136.5 on Saturday.
