Women’s Swimming and Diving Unveils 2013-14 Schedule

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Stephanie Wriede Morawski, The Costin Family Head Coach for Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving, unveiled the 2013-14 schedule Wednesday afternoon. The Crimson will host a dual meet over the course of the season and participate in multi-team meets in Texas and Virginia and at MIT.
The Crimson opens the 2013-14 season with three Ivy League opponents on the road. Harvard will travel to Columbia Nov. 9 before facing Cornell and Dartmouth in Hanover, N.H., Nov. 16. The team will split up in early December, as members of the team head to either the Texas Invitational or MIT Invitational.
A training trip to Spain will help the Crimson stay sharp for its first meet of 2014, when Harvard welcomes Brown to Cambridge Jan. 11 for its only meet at Blodgett Pool this season. The meet will be available to watch on the new Ivy League Digital Network. The squad will travel to Penn the following weekend.
The annual HYP meet is slated for Feb. 1-2 in New Haven, Conn. Harvard will travel to the Virginia Tech Invitational Feb. 8-9 for a non-conference meet to wrap up the regular season.
Brown plays host to the 2014 Ivy League Championships Feb. 20-22. Harvard looks claim its fourth Ivy League title in the past 10 seasons and its second in the last three years.
The NCAA Zone Diving Championships will take place March 10-12, at Virginia Tech and the 2014 NCAA Championships are set for March 20-22 at Minnesota.
Harvard returns 18 letterwinners from a year ago who helped the team finish the season ranked No. 1 in the CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Rankings for the fifth time. The Crimson also completed the dual meet portion of its schedule with a perfect 9-0 record, including its second straight 7-0 Ivy League mark.
