Weiss Announces Promotion of Trimble '08, Hiring of Wu '12

Trimble has been promoted to first assistant while Wu enters her first year on staff (Gil Talbot).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Women's volleyball head coach Jen Weiss has announced her coaching staff for the 2012 season. Suzie Trimble '08 has been elevated to the team's top assistant, while Christine Wu '12 will join the Crimson for her first season on staff.

Trimble enters her third year on the sidelines at Harvard after serving for two years as the coaching assistant. This past season she helped Harvard to a 12-12 record, marking the first time since 2004 the Crimson has finished with a winning percentage of .500 or better. In two years she has coached five All-Ivy League selections, four Academic All-Ivy honorees and a pair of ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District recipients.

Wu joins the coaching staff after enjoying a decorated career on the court which saw her become the school's all-time leader in digs with 1,841. She is one of only four Crimson student-athletes to earn four All-Ivy League selections, and earned second team honors as a senior after setting a new program record with 523 digs. Wu was also a two-time Academic All-District pick and was named to the fall 2011 Academic All-Ivy League team.
