  • Volleyball Wins Conference Opener In Front of Packed Malkin Athletic Center

    In front of a standing room only crowd at the Malkin Athletic Center, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (6-4, 1-0 Ivy) opened Ivy League play with a 3-1 victory against Dartmouth (4-6, 0-1 Ivy) on Friday night.
  • Women's Volleyball Opens Ivy League Action Against Dartmouth
    September 21, 2017
    Harvard women’s volleyball is set to kick off Ivy League action this Friday night against Dartmouth after competing in three non-conference tournaments to open the season. The Big Green will travel to the Malkin Athletic Center for a 7 p.m. start and the match will be broadcast live on the Ivy League Network. 
  • Christina Cornelius Tabbed Ivy League Player of the Week

    Harvard women’s volleyball co-captain Christina Cornelius was named Ivy League Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday. This is the first weekly award for Harvard in 2017 and the first player of the week honor in Cornelius’ career.
  • Volleyball: Three Days, Three Wins and New England Challenge Champions

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team (5-4) earned its fourth straight win tonight with a 3-0 victory over UMass Lowell (3-7). Due to Harvard’s Thursday start of the New England Challenge, the Crimson can now claim regional bragging rights, having defeated the other three participating teams. Hosting rights for 2018, however, will remain unknown pending final 2017 season RPI rankings.
  • Harvard Hands Northeastern First Home Loss Since 2015

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team (4-4) earned its second straight win in striking fashion, ending Northeastern’s (5-6) 12 match unbeaten streak at home. After dropping the first set well into extra points (28-26), Harvard rallied for three straight (25-20, 25-23, 25-18) to take a 2-0 mark in the 2017 New England Challenge with one match remaining in the queue.
  • Harvard Tops Boston College in Five-Set Stunner

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team (3-4) defeated Boston College (3-6) in a five-set showdown at the Malkin Athletic Center Thursday night. The Crimson dominated, setting 32 season bests and 18 career highs. In addition, Harvard posted a .352 overall hitting percentage, the highest mark since the team hit .353 against Penn in 2014.
  • Volleyball Primed For New England Challenge

    Coming off a 2-1 finish at the Holiday Inn Invitational last weekend, the Harvard women’s volleyball team is set to take on crosstown rivals Boston College, Northeastern and UMass Lowell in the annual New England Challenge. Up for grabs is regional bragging rights and an opportunity to earn hosting rights next season.
  • Harvard Downs Tennessee Tech 3-0, Fields Named to All-Tournament Team

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team (2-4) wrapped up Wright State’s Holiday Inn Invitational with a 3-0 sweep of Tennessee Tech this afternoon (Sept. 9). Following the match, sophomore Maclaine Fields was selected as a member of the All-Tournament Team after accumulating 23 kills, eight blocks and hitting percentages of .529 against Wright State and .421 against Tennessee Tech.
  • Harvard Sweeps Wright St., Falls to West Virginia

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team (1-4) split day one of the Holiday Inn Invitational, earning its first victory of the season with a sweep of Wright St. (2-6) and falling to West Virginia (6-2) in the night cap.
  • Harvard Set for Holiday Inn Invitational

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team continues its season this weekend at the Holiday Inn Invitational hosted by Wright St. After a tough start to the 2017 campaign at the Harvard Invitational, the Crimson will be in search of its first win of the season against Wright St., West Virginia and Tennessee Tech.
  • Cornelius Earns All-Tournament Recognition, Harvard Falls to Sacred Heart, American

    In its final two matches of the Harvard Invitational, the women’s volleyball team (0-3) was edged by Sacred Heart (2-4) and American (4-3).
  • Women's Volleyball's Strong Effort Falls Short Against Stony Brook

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Despite a career high 37 assists from Erin McCarthy and 19 digs from Sydney Vach in her collegiate debut, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (0-1) faced a 3-1 setback in its season opener against Stony Brook (2-3) this evening (Sept. 1).
  • Volleyball Set to Host Harvard Invitational

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team is set to kick off its 2017 campaign Friday, Sept. 1 and Saturday, Sept. 2 with the Harvard Invitational. The Crimson will welcome American, Sacred Heart and Stony Brook for a round-robin slate that will be broadcast on the Ivy League Network. Harvard’s first serve of the season is marked for 7pm on Friday against Stony Brook and the full tournament schedule, including live stat, video and results links, can be found on the Tournament Central page.
  • Women’s Volleyball Earns Ninth Straight AVCA Team Academic Award

    For the ninth straight year, Harvard women’s volleyball earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award.
  • Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Hires Jared Goldberg as Assistant Coach

    Brian Baise and Jennifer Weiss, Harvard’s head coaches for men’s and women’s volleyball, respectively, have announced the hiring of Jared Goldberg as an assistant coach.
  • Women's Volleyball Welcomes Four Recruits in Class of 2021

    Harvard volleyball head coach Jen Weiss has announced the incoming class of 2021: Evelyn Gray, Mindie Mabry, Sydney Vach, and Sandra Zeng. The group of four come to Cambridge from Florida (Mabry, Vach), Washington D.C. (Gray), and Hawaii (Zeng).
  • Women's Volleyball Announces 2017 Schedule

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team will play 12 matches at the Malkin Athletic Center in 2017, opening the season at home on Sept. 1 against Stony Brook (7 p.m.), head coach Jennifer Weiss announced today.
