  • Cornelius Earns AVCA East Region Recognition

    Junior captain Christina Cornelius earned AVCA East Region Honorable Mention recognition as announced by the association today. Most recently, Cornelius earned first team All-Ivy honors for the second time in her career.
  • Three Women’s Volleyball Players Earn All-Ivy Accolades

    Harvard women’s volleyball players Christina Cornelius, Grace Roberts Burbank and Maclaine Fields have earned All-Ivy honors for the 2017 season as announced by the conference today (Nov. 16). Harvard has now placed at least one member on an All-Ivy team in each of the last 24 years.
  • Women’s Volleyball Tastes Victory on Senior Day

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team (13-10, 8-6 Ivy) closed out the season with a bang, defeating Penn (12-11, 7-7 Ivy) 3-1 on senior day. In their final matches in a Crimson jersey, Paige Kebe raked up 12 kills hitting at a .333 clip and Heather Sigurdson posted her second consecutive match with double-digit digs, totaling 20 digs on the weekend.
  • Women’s Volleyball Falls to Princeton in Three

    Despite matching Princeton on the stat sheet, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (12-10, 7-6 Ivy) was edged by Princeton in three closely contested sets this evening. Christina Cornelius led Harvard with 13 kills, hitting at a .407 clip, and Maclaine Fields posted a .421 hitting percentage
  • Women's Volleyball Set to Close Out Regular Season at Home

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team is set to wrap up the regular season this weekend with a pair of home games at the Malkin Athletic Center. On Friday, the Crimson will look to upset Princeton and remain in the running for a share of the Ivy title with a 7 p.m. matchup. Then on Saturday, Harvard will celebrate the Class of 2018 prior to its tilt with Penn scheduled for 5 p.m. Both matches will be broadcast on the Ivy League Network.
  • Women’s Volleyball Splits Weekend at Yale and Brown

    Playing in its second five set match of the weekend, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (12-9, 7-5 Ivy) was unable to muster enough energy to overcome the Brown Bears (7-16, 2-10 Ivy), falling in Providence 3-2 on Saturday evening.
  • Harvard Stuns Ivy Leader Yale at Home Arena

    Handing Yale (0-0, 8-3 Ivy) just its third conference loss at home in 59 matches, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (12-8, 7-4 Ivy) took one step closer to an Ivy League Championship with a 3-2 win at John J. Lee Amphitheater on Friday night.
  • Volleyball Set for Final Road Trip of 2017 Season

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team will play its final road matches of the season this Friday and Saturday at Yale and Brown respectively. The 7 p.m. matchup at Yale will be broadcast on ESPN3 and the Ivy League Network. On Saturday, Crimson fans can watch Harvard volleyball take on Brown on the Ivy League Network at 5 p.m.
  • Late Match Rally Falls Short For Women’s Volleyball at Cornell

    Despite coming back from a 0-2 set deficit to force the fifth, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (11-7, 6-4 Ivy) was unable to take three straight to overcome Cornell (10-9, 6-4 Ivy). The Big Red quickly took control in sets one and two with scores of 25-16 and 25-19, but Harvard rallied to take back the match, winning sets three and four 25-21 and 25-22. Cornell managed to get ahead early in set five, forcing the Crimson to play catch-up and eventually taking the set and match with a 15-10 score.
  • Five Players Tally Double-Digit Kills In Five Set Showdown at Columbia

    Despite five different players totaling double-digit kills and hitting percentages of .458 and .500 from Christina Cornelius and Maclaine Fields, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (11-7, 6-3 Ivy) suffered a setback at Columbia (8-10, 3-6) on Friday evening. The teams traded sets, tying the score 21 times in the process with the lead changing 10 times over the course of the match.
  • Women’s Volleyball Ready for Road Tests

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team returns to action this weekend with a full Ivy slate beginning Friday at 7 p.m. at Columbia and wrapping up Saturday at 5 p.m. at Cornell. Both matches will be broadcast on the Ivy League Network.
  • Women's Volleyball Adds Another Ivy Win at Dartmouth

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team (11-6, 6-2 Ivy) tallied another win in the Ivy column with a sweep of Dartmouth (7-10, 3-5 Ivy) on Friday night. The match was neck and neck with the Crimson taking sets one, two and three by no more than a three-point margin
  • Volleyball Begins Second Half of Ivy Slate
    October 18, 2017
    The Harvard women’s volleyball team is set to begin its second sweep through the Ivy League this coming Friday, Oct. 22. The Crimson will travel to Dartmouth for a single match at 7 p.m. The match will be streamed live on the Ivy League Network.
  • Women’s Volleyball Edged by Yale
    October 14, 2017
    The Harvard women’s volleyball team (10-6, 5-2 Ivy) suffered its second Ivy League loss at the hands of Yale (12-4, 6-1 Ivy) on Saturday evening. The Crimson went toe-to-toe with the Bulldogs in the scorebook, narrowly missing a chance to take an outright lead in the conference.
  • Women's Volleyball Earns 3-1 Win Over Brown, Moves Atop Ivy Standings

    A standout night by junior captain Christina Cornelius (15 kills) helped Harvard women’s volleyball (10-5, 5-1 Ivy) earn a 3-1 win over Brown (6-11, 1-5 Ivy) at Malkin Athletic Center.
  • Volleyball to Host Dig Pink Match and Alumni Night

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team will mark the halfway point of Ivy League play following matches against Brown and Yale this Friday and Saturday. First serves are set for 7 p.m. and 5 p.m. respectively and both matches will be broadcast on the Ivy League Network.
  • Women’s Volleyball Falls at Princeton

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team (9-5, 4-1 Ivy) fell for the first time in conference play at Princeton (12-3, 5-0 Ivy) on Saturday night. The Tigers were dominant, taking sets one and two by wide margins but a late rally from Harvard challenged Princeton’s grip on the match in set three. The Tigers were able to punch in the final points to end an eight-match win streak for the Crimson.
  • Women’s Volleyball Preserves Unbeaten Ivy Record at Penn

    In just its third five-set match of the season, the Crimson (9-4, 4-0 Ivy) came out victorious against Penn (6-7, 1-3 Ivy), preserving its unbeaten Ivy record.
  • Volleyball Set To Play First Ivy Road Matches

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team will take its first road trip in Ivy League play this coming weekend. On Friday, the Crimson are set to face off against Penn at 7 p.m. The match will be broadcast live on the Ivy League Network and ESPN3. The following day, the Crimson squares off against Princeton, the only other unbeaten team in conference play.
  • Women’s Volleyball Blazes to 3-0 Win Over Columbia
    September 30, 2017
    Harvard women’s volleyball (8-4, 3-0 Ivy) continued to steam roll through the Ivy League with a 3-0 victory over Columbia (5-7, 0-3 Ivy) on Saturday evening. The Crimson handedly beat the Lions 25-14 and 25-15 in sets one and two, before slowly but surely securing set three with a 25-22 win. Harvard registered a .396 overall hitting percentage, with five different players hitting .275 or better.
  • Women’s Volleyball Grinds Out 3-1 Win Against Cornell

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team (7-4, 2-0 Ivy) improved to 2-0 in conference play after a gritty win against Cornell (5-6, 1-1 Ivy). Through four sets, the teams were even in kills at 54, nearly tied in assists and digs and the Big Red held a 13-6 advantage in blocks. Harvard’s refined and controlled play gave it the edge to take the match 3-1.
  • Women’s Volleyball Set for Two Against Cornell and Columbia
    September 28, 2017
    The Harvard women’s volleyball team continues the campaign for its fourth Ivy League Championship this coming weekend, with contests against Cornell and Columbia. The Crimson are slated for back-to-back matches at the Malkin Athletic Center (MAC) on Friday and Saturday, first serves are set for 7 p.m. and 5 p.m. respectively. Both matches will be broadcast on the Ivy League Network.

The fact that I get to be a part of this team and a student at this college never fails to amaze me. Every time I step on the court, I remember how blessed I am to be at Harvard, a place where opportunities are seemingly endless.
  • Volleyball Wins Conference Opener In Front of Packed Malkin Athletic Center

    In front of a standing room only crowd at the Malkin Athletic Center, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (6-4, 1-0 Ivy) opened Ivy League play with a 3-1 victory against Dartmouth (4-6, 0-1 Ivy) on Friday night.
  • Women's Volleyball Opens Ivy League Action Against Dartmouth
    September 21, 2017
    Harvard women’s volleyball is set to kick off Ivy League action this Friday night against Dartmouth after competing in three non-conference tournaments to open the season. The Big Green will travel to the Malkin Athletic Center for a 7 p.m. start and the match will be broadcast live on the Ivy League Network. 
  • Christina Cornelius Tabbed Ivy League Player of the Week

    Harvard women’s volleyball co-captain Christina Cornelius was named Ivy League Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday. This is the first weekly award for Harvard in 2017 and the first player of the week honor in Cornelius’ career.
  • Volleyball: Three Days, Three Wins and New England Challenge Champions
    September 16, 2017
    The Harvard women’s volleyball team (5-4) earned its fourth straight win tonight with a 3-0 victory over UMass Lowell (3-7). Due to Harvard’s Thursday start of the New England Challenge, the Crimson can now claim regional bragging rights, having defeated the other three participating teams. Hosting rights for 2018, however, will remain unknown pending final 2017 season RPI rankings.
  • Harvard Hands Northeastern First Home Loss Since 2015

    The Harvard women’s volleyball team (4-4) earned its second straight win in striking fashion, ending Northeastern’s (5-6) 12 match unbeaten streak at home. After dropping the first set well into extra points (28-26), Harvard rallied for three straight (25-20, 25-23, 25-18) to take a 2-0 mark in the 2017 New England Challenge with one match remaining in the queue.
  • Harvard Tops Boston College in Five-Set Stunner
    September 14, 2017
    The Harvard women’s volleyball team (3-4) defeated Boston College (3-6) in a five-set showdown at the Malkin Athletic Center Thursday night. The Crimson dominated, setting 32 season bests and 18 career highs. In addition, Harvard posted a .352 overall hitting percentage, the highest mark since the team hit .353 against Penn in 2014.
  • Volleyball Primed For New England Challenge

    Coming off a 2-1 finish at the Holiday Inn Invitational last weekend, the Harvard women’s volleyball team is set to take on crosstown rivals Boston College, Northeastern and UMass Lowell in the annual New England Challenge. Up for grabs is regional bragging rights and an opportunity to earn hosting rights next season.
