Christine Wu ’12 begins her second season as a member of Jen Weiss’ coaching staff after enjoying a decorated career on the court for the Crimson.

On the sidelines, Wu helped the Crimson to a 7-7 Ivy League record in 2012 marking the program's first season at .500 or better in conference play since 2009. Wu also coached a pair of All-Ivy League recipients, one Academic All-Ivy honoree and one Capital One Academic All-District selection.

Wu is one of only four student-athletes in Harvard women’s volleyball history to be named All-Ivy League four times, and was a second team selection as a senior in 2011. That same year she became Harvard’s career leader in digs with 1,841, good for second all-time in the Ivy League, and set a single-season program record with 523 digs. As co-captain Wu helped the Crimson to a 12-12 overall record, marking the first time since 2004 Harvard has finished with a winning percentage of .500 or better.

Wu also ranks seventh in program history with 93 service aces and owns the first, third and fourth positions on Harvard’s single-season digs list. She finished her career averaging 4.79 digs per set.

Wu’s accolades went beyond the court as she was a two-time ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District selection and was named to the fall 2011 Academic All-Ivy League team. She graduated from Harvard in May of 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in human evolutionary biology.
