Andersen Earns Second CWPA Weekly Award; Dukes Named Defensive Player of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior Ariel Dukes and sophomore Yoshi Andersen have both earned weekly awards from the Collegiate Water Polo Association, the league announced.  Dukes was honored as the Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week, while Andersen took home Southern Division Player of the Week honors.  It is the first weekly award for Dukes and the second honor for Andersen.

The Crimson won its first Southern Division game of the season with a 10-8 win over George Washington last weekend.

Dukes anchored the defense with seven saves while also chipping in a steal in the win. The Winter Park, Fla., native now has 166 saves on the season.

Andersen headlined the offense in Washington, D.C, as she exploded for a season-high six goals against the Colonials. The Laguna Beach, Calif., native leads the team in goals score with 53 tallies.
