CAMBRDIGE, Mass. – The No. 19 Harvard women's water polo team is set to host the Harvard Invitational at Blodgett Pool this weekend, March 3-5. The Crimson is slated for four contests in the 10-team tournament, including a CWPA game against No. 10 Princeton Friday at 7:45 p.m. and a Senior Night celebration before the matchup with No. 23 Marist Saturday at 8 p.m.

Tournament Info
The Harvard Invitational features 19 games between 10 different teams. Harvard, Indiana, UC San Diego, Princeton, Toronto, Wagner, Brown, Marist, Iona and Siena will compete at the tournament throughout the weekend.

Last Time Out
The No. 19 Harvard women's water polo team (4-2) saws its four-game win streak come to an end against 10th-ranked Princeton (7-0) last Saturday morning. The Crimson nearly pulled off the top-10 upset, but the Tigers used a late fourth-quarter rally to earn the victory. Harvard had battled its way back to tie the contest at 5-5 in the fourth frame, and the two teams remained knotted up with just over three minutes to play until the Tigers pulled away late.

Senior Night 
Harvard will celebrate the careers of three seniors, Zoe Osborne, Eela Nagaraj and Michelle Martinelli, prior to the game against No. 23 Marist on Saturday night at 8 p.m.  

A Year Ago
The Crimson continued its hot start to the 2016 campaign, finishing 3-1 at the Harvard Invite a year ago to move to 12-2 overall. Harvard earned victories over Mercyhurst, Siena and Fresno Pacific last season.

Just Another Day in the Office
Freshman Sofia-Carrera Justiz has been a consistent source of production for the Crimson this season, scoring in all six of Harvard's games to date. The rookie attacker has totaled 10 goals during the stretch, totaling multiple goals in three different contests. She also has amassed seven assists, tied for second on the team.

Rematch Central
Harvard will play Princeton and Wagner at the Harvard Invitational this weekend, marking the third meeting with the Seahawks and second with the Tigers this season. Harvard is 1-1 against Wagner, including a 5-4 win in the most recent matchup on Feb. 11, and 0-1 against the Tigers.

Scoring Spree
The Crimson attack has shown the ability to score in bunches, already totaling at least nine goals in two different quarters this season. Harvard rattled off 10 goals in the second quarter of a 13-6 win against Iona on Feb. 4, along with a nine-goal outburst in the second frame against Gannon Feb. 12.

Defensive Lockdown
The Crimson hasn't allowed more than seven goals since the opening game of the 2017 campaign. Harvard has given up an average of five goals per game over its last five contests, recording a 4-1 record during the stretch.

Scouting No. 10 Princeton
Princeton is off to a 7-0 start this season, winning three games at both the Bruno Classic and Bison Invite to go along with the victory over the Crimson last weekend. The Tigers have four different players with double-digit goal totals, led by junior Chelsea Johnson with 15. 

Scouting No. 16 UC San Diego
UCSD enters play at the Harvard Invite with a 5-8 record this season. The Tritons dropped three of its last four contests at the Barbara Kalbus Inviational, falling to top-15 squads in UCLA, Pacific and UC Santa Barbara. The Tritons earned a 10-1 win over No. 12 San Diego State during the tournament as well. Senior Alexis Wieseler leads the Tritons with 22 goals on the year.

Scouting No. 23 Marist
Marist boasts a 5-6 record to begin the 2017 season. The Red Foxes are coming off two consecutive victories, earning an 8-5 decision over Santa Clara and a 9-7 win over Cal State East Bay. Marist will take on Brown and Princeton before its match with the Crimson on Saturday night.

Scouting No. 21 Wagner
Wagner has won its last three contests as it holds a 4-7 mark this season. The Seahawks defeated Gannon, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, and Bucknell at the Bison Invitational in its most recent action. Harvard and Wagner have each defeated the other once this season, as Wagner took the first meeting on Feb. 4, and the Crimson was victorious on Feb. 11.
