NEW ORLEANS, La. –
Both the Harvard men’s and women’s cross country teams received USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors, the organization announced Monday. The men’s team is one of 135 Division I men’s programs to receive the honor for the 2009 season, up from 110 in 2008, while the women are one of 176 teams honored, up from 162 in 2008.

The honors mark the fourth consecutive year that both the men and women have received All-Academic Team recognition. The Crimson also had three members of the team attain USTFCCCA All-Academic status. Sophomore Kailyn Kuzmuk and junior Claire Richardson of the women’s team and junior Dan Chenoweth of the men’s team earned the award for their efforts during the 2009 cross country season.

For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Championship and also have a minimum 3.00 team cumulative GPA.
