CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the fifth straight season, both the Harvard men's and women's cross country teams received USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors, the organization announced this week. Daniel Chenoweth also received individual academic honors from the USTFCCCA earlier this week.
The men's team was one of 152 institutions to receive the award for the 2010 season and recorded a top-10 team GPA with a mark of 3.49. Harvard posted the second-highest mark among Ivy League schools, finishing just behind Dartmouth at 3.51. The Harvard women joined a list of 192 schools to receive the award, posting a GPA of 3.43. The women were also the Ivy school with the second-highest GPA, as Brown led all Ancient Eight women's teams with a 3.51 team grade-point average.
For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, it must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Championship and also have a minimum 3.00 team cumulative GPA.
