My journey through Harvard as a varsity golfer is one adorned with gracious opportunity and warming camaraderie. I’ve had the unbelievable opportunity to compete in 27 pressure packed tournaments for the Crimson. And thanks to our generous Friends, I’ve had the opportunity to play several iconic golf courses, including Pebble Beach, Cypress Point, and of course our home, The Country Club in Brookline. But most importantly, I will have done all of this alongside an amazing group of accomplished teammates and loving coaches. My senior perspective is simple: “Amidst the many positive experiences as a Harvard student, the bonds we form with our teammates will be the memories that we consider our most precious.”

From crushing the opposition on the golf course to dashing towards the nearest chipotle off the golf course, all of it is done with the people who would become my best friends. When I took my first step on campus as a clueless freshman, it was my seniors who took care and guided me through that transitional period. My comrades encouraged me when I felt down, motivated me when I felt purposeless, and humbled me when I felt overconfident. They are the ones who inspired and motivated me when I knew nothing about Harvard, and their fine example contributes to my desire to take care of the underclassmen today. I’ve learned that mentorship is a cycle of learning from those before you and providing for those after you. This lineage of support, camaraderie, and drive is the true legacy of Harvard golf. I can say without any doubt that my four years here has been the most endearing in my life so far because of the wonderful culture here. It has been my upmost pleasure to contribute to that culture. Thank you very much to my family who supported me all these years, my teammates for motivating me, Fred for recruiting and guiding me, and Kevin for keeping my golf game sharp. You guys are the real MVP.
