"I am excited to welcome Maddy Carpe to the coaching staff," stated Rohn. "It was clear to me that Maddy has a great work ethic and drive to be an outstanding coach. Maddy's ability to build relationships with the student athletes will be a great asset on the Harvard Softball coaching staff!"
Carpe lands with the Crimson after a four-year career on the Boston College Softball team, where she served as a team captain her senior year. From 2016-21, she served as a catching coach for the Ashburn Shooting Stars in Ashburn, Va. where she conducted seasonal position training for various catchers with basic catching fundamentals, conditioning, and instruction on being a successful catcher and team player through a personalized program.
In her time on the field, Carpe was a catcher for the Eagles. Her senior year she threw out 13 runners stealing and recorded 22 hits of four doubles, two triples and three home runs to go along with 11 RBI.
Carpe is excited to get started with another university near her alma mater and will bring a lot to the table for the Crimson's 2023-24 season.
