CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The four seniors of Harvard women's volleyball were named to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team, announced by the College Sports Communicators this afternoon.
Rocky Aguirre,
Corinne Furey, and
Teia Piette each received the recognition for the first time in their careers while
Lindsey Zhang earned the honor for the second straight season.
The senior quartet made strong contributions both on and off the court this season, excelling in the classroom while also making a lasting impact on the program. This year marks the second straight season in program history that the Crimson have had four student-athletes named to the academic team.
To be eligible for the Academic All-District squad, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's sets players or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's total matches, while also excelling in the classroom with a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or higher.
The Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. The honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
