CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University baseball senior left-handed pitcher
Brian Dowling has earned selection as a nominee for the 2025-26 Allstate NACDA Spring Good Works Team, the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics announced on Thursday.
NACDA announced the 137 student-athlete nominees for the 2025-26 Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Spring), recognizing male and female student-athletes across all divisions and sports who go above and beyond in their commitment to community service, academic achievement and athletic performance.
Dowling has helped spearhead two of Harvard baseball's community initiatives, including the team's work with the Movember project to raise money for men's mental health and testicular cancer research, as well as the program's weekly visits to mentor students at Cunniff Elementary School in Watertown, Massachusetts. Dowling earned CSC Academic All-District honors in 2024 and has served as a mainstay in the Crimson's pitching staff over the last three seasons as both a starter and reliever.
The 2025-26 Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Spring) nominees represent 13 collegiate sports, including baseball, beach volleyball, golf, lacrosse, softball, tennis and rowing.
A distinguished selection committee of athletics directors, former student-athletes and industry leaders will choose the final 20-member team — 10 female and 10 male student-athletes — set to be announced in late April. One student captain will also be named to represent the group.
The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team was established in 2024 to recognize male and female student-athletes across all collegiate sports and divisions for their leadership in community service, academics and athletics. Building on the legacy of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®, which has honored college football players since 1992, this expanded initiative highlights the impact of student-athletes who go beyond the game to serve others.
