CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The University of Charlotte completed a three-game series sweep of Harvard on Sunday with a 7-2 victory.

Charlotte (15-5) succeeded in keeping Harvard (1-13) off the scoreboard until the ninth inning after 26 scoreless frames for the Crimson.

Charlotte touched five Harvard hurlers for 12 hits and seven runs with only Jonah Klees able to keep the 49ers off the scoreboard with a scoreless eighth.

Harvard scored its runs in the ninth as Jeff Reynolds (1-3) was hit by a pitch and moved to second on a wild pitch. Andrew Hatch singled to move Reynolds to third and Steven Dill delivered a run-scoring double with Hatch later scoring on a wild pitch.

Sam Franklin was 2-for-3 for the Crimson, which collected seven hits in all.

Harvard returns to action next weekend with a four-game series at NYIT.
