PRINCETON, N.J. – Kevin Stone of the Harvard baseball team has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, announced Tuesday by the league office. The honor marks Harvard's fourth weekly award of the year, and third in the rookie category.

Stone had a career day on the mound in the fourth game versus Brown, throwing a career-best eight innings of shutout baseball with a career-high eight strikeouts. Stone allowed only five baserunners, and never more than one in any inning. The Stamford, Connecticut native earned his third victory of the year, helping to push Harvard into second place in the Ivy Red Rolfe division entering the final weekend of conference action.

Harvard heads to UMass Lowell for a midweek contest April 27 before finishing the regular season with home and home twin bills against Dartmouth April 30-May 1.
