Harvard last played at Fenway during the 2015 season (Gil Talbot).
BOSTON – Continuing a biannual tradition, Fenway Park will host the championship and consolation games of the 2017 Baseball Beanpot, as announced by the organization on Wednesday. Harvard will join Boston College, Northeastern and Massachusetts at the historic ballpark April 19.
Following semifinal contests at Harvard and Boston College April 5, the consolation game will begin at 3 p.m., with Fenway's gates opening at 2 p.m. The championship game will begin approximately 45 minutes following the conclusion of game one. Harvard will be looking for its first Beanpot championship since 2014.
Tickets go on sale on Feb. 22 at noon, and are available online at redsox.com/beanpot or by calling the Red Sox ticket office at (877) REDSOX-9. Tickets are all general admission and priced at $10 each, with net proceeds benefitting the Pete Frates Fund.
Harvard opens its season March 3 in Washington D.C. with contests against Lafayette and Copping State. The Crimson hosts Massachusetts in the first round of the Beanpot at 3 p.m. on April 5 at O'Donnell Field. It will be broadcast on the Ivy League Digital Network.
