Hoffman Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

Hoffman is the first winner of the award this season (Nancy Poppen).

PRINCETON, N.J. – After a highly-productive start to his Harvard baseball career, freshman Quinn Hoffman has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for Feb. 27-March 5, as announced by the league on Monday.

Hoffman hit in the leadoff spot for the Crimson at the DC Grays Collegiate Challenge, helping Harvard to its first 4-0 start since 1986. Hoffman posted a .316 average at the plate, scoring four runs to go with two RBI and two stolen bases. The Harvard offense outscored Lafayette and Coppin State in the tournament by a 39-6 margin.

Harvard travels to Jacksonville for a four-game series March 10-12 to kick off its 10-day trip to Florida.
