With The Best Batting Average in the Country, McColl Earns Ivy League Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J.– Harvard baseball senior Patrick McColl has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week as announced by the conference today. This is McColl's third player of the week award in the team's first four weeks of the season.

The senior has been a problem for opposing pitchers in the middle of the Crimson lineup, as he currently sits with a six-game multi-hit streak. Against Rutgers and Penn this weekend, McColl tallied 12 hits over his 19 at bats, tallying three doubles, two triples, two home runs and adding 12 RBIs. On the season, McColl ranks first in the country with a .515 batting average and third in the country with a .985 slugging percentage.

McColl will look to add to those numbers Tuesday in the team's home opener against Holy Cross at 3:30 p.m.
