PRINCETON, N.J. – Harvard baseball junior Hunter Bigge has been named the Ivy League Co-Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference today. This is his first pitcher of the week award.
The junior dominated on the mound for the Crimson against Princeton Friday, striking out 13 Princeton batters, a new career mark for him. Bigge pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing just four hits. Additionally, the ace struck out every batter in the Princeton's starting lineup at least once. At the plate, Bigge also hit a deep home run to left center.
Harvard returns to action this afternoon, battling Northeastern in the first round of the 30th Annual Beanpot. The game will be played at Boston College's Harrington Athletic Village at 6:00 p.m.
