CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After a 27-win season and his first Ivy League title, The Joseph O'Donnell '67 Head Coach for Harvard Baseball, Bill Decker, has announced the 2020 schedule. This year's slate features two tournaments, four Power 5 matchups and 12 contests in Cambridge.

The Crimson begins its title defense with a series against Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. from Feb. 28- March 1. Two invitationals follow, with Harvard playing in games at the Ryclass Classic in Florida and the Spider Invitational in Richmond, Virginia.

While in the Sunshine State, the Crimson will take on Fairfield, Ohio State and Stetson from March 6-8.

A week later at the Spider Invitational, the Crimson will start spring break with a matchup against Richmond on March 13. The next day, Harvard takes on Connecticut in a rematch of the 2019 NCAA Regional. A tilt with Monmouth will conclude the first series of the week. After a day off, the Crimson will play two more games against Connecticut and Richmond before returning to Cambridge.

Ivy League play will open with a rematch of the 2019 Championship Series, when the Crimson face off against Columbia. The series will be played in New York on March 21 and 22.

After the first midweek matchup of the season against Holy Cross (March 24), the Crimson will open its home slate with a three-game set against Dartmouth on the weekend of March 28.  

On March 31, the Crimson will play the first round of the Baseball Beanpot against Massachusetts-Amherst in a rematch of last year's championship game. The tournament's championship and third-place games will be held a week later on April 7.

Ivy League action continues on April 4-5 with a series in upstate New York against Cornell, followed by a series with Penn the weekend of April 11-12, at O'Donnell Field. The Crimson will play two road series at Princeton (April 18-19) and Yale (April 25-26) before returning to Harvard for its final series of the season against Brown (May 2-3). The team's senior day will be on May 3.

Late season matchups against Northeastern (April 14), UMass-Lowell (April 22) and Maine (April 29) highlight the club's non-conference schedule.

After graduating 12 seniors and sending two players to the Major League Baseball Draft, the Crimson returns 2019 Ivy League Player of the year Jake Suddleson and the program's all-time saves leader, Kieran Shaw. The team has retooled with nine first-years that are set to join the team for the 2020 season.
