Zack Hodges is Harvard's all-time sack leader with 27.0 (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior Zack Hodges of the Harvard football team has been invited to the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine, to be held Feb. 17-23 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Hodges, who played in the Reese's Senior Bowl Jan. 24, is the two-time reigning recipient of the Asa S. Bushnell Cup as Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year. He is the third Crimson player to be invited to the NFL Combine, joining Ryan Fitzpatrick '05 and Jamil Soriano '03.
A product of Atlanta, Georgia, Hodges, who is an outside linebacker prospect, earned his third selection to the All-Ivy League first team last fall. The 2014 winner of the George "Bulger" Lowe Award, presented to the top defensive player in New England, Hodges played in all 10 games last fall and recorded a league-best 8.5 sacks.
He finished his senior season with 26 tackles and 10.0 stops for a loss, including 2.0 sacks in the win over Yale in 131st playing of The Game. Hodges, who is Harvard's all-time leader with 27.0 career sacks, helped the Crimson rank first in the nation in scoring defense (12.3 ppg) and fourth in rushing defense (86.8 ypg), as the team finished 10-0 overall and won its second straight Ivy League title during the 2014 campaign.
