Reimers Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – For the second-straight week, Harvard football freshman running back Noah Reimers has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, it was announced Monday afternoon.

Reimers helped the Crimson to a 45-0 shutout of Georgetown, as well as earning a SportsCenter Top-10 selection for a track-like hurdle of a Hoya defender,

Making just his third-career appearance, Reimers rushed for three touchdowns Friday. The Leesburg, Virginia native had 15 carries for 64 yards overall and scores of 2, 1 and 1 yards, respectively. Reimers became the first rookie Harvard running back with three scores since Clifton Dawson '07 had four touchdowns against Lafayette on Oct. 18, 2003. He now has five rushing TDs on the year, helping Harvard move to 3-0 and win its 17th-straight game.

The Crimson hits the road to visit Cornell in a game shown live on ASN/ILDN Saturday, Oct. 10. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.
