CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior tight end Ben Braunecker of the Harvard football team has been selected to the Walter Camp Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) All-America team, it was announced Friday.

Braunecker, who hails from Ferdinand, Indiana, has also been named to the Associated Press, STATS FCS and College Sports Madness All-America teams after an impressive fall campaign.

Braunecker, who will be playing in the upcoming NFLPA Collegiate Bowl Jan. 23, was a unanimous selection to the All-Ivy League team after pacing the Crimson with 48 receptions for 850 yards. Braunecker also caught eight touchdown passes and had four games with more than 100 receiving yards on the season. He concluded his career with 68 career receptions for 1,168 yards and 10 TD grabs.

Braunecker helped the Crimson to a 9-1 overall record and 6-1 mark in the Ivy League, as the Crimson won a share of its third-straight conference title. Harvard defeated Yale for a program-record ninth-consecutive time, and the senior class finished with a record of 36-4, tying last year's class with the most victories for an Ancient Eight school in the Ivy era (since 1956).
