Lee Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior safety Tanner Lee has been selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District first team, it was announced Thursday afternoon.

The applied mathematics concentrator has posted a 3.772 GPA during a breakout junior campaign on the gridiron. Lee has amassed 20 tackles and a team-high three interceptions over the first seven games, spearheading a stingy Crimson defense that ranks 18th in the FCS for points allowed (20.1). The Spanish Fort, Alabama native was also honored as the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 10 after a stellar performance against rival Cornell.

To qualify for the award, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games. Lee is now eligible for an Academic All-America nod, which will be announced later this month.

The No. 22/23 Harvard football team (6-1, 4-0 Ivy League) will return home to the friendly confines of Harvard Stadium to host Columbia Saturday, Nov. 5 in an Ivy League matchup on ONE World Sports and the Ivy League Digital Network.
