    It has been a privilege and an honor to be an athlete at Harvard these past four years. When I compare my athletic experience to those of my friends playing at other schools and other leagues, I feel even more fortunate that I was able to continue to play the sport that I love at a school that valued both my desire to play on a highly competitive team, with fine coaches, access to amazing facilities and resources, all while being able to take the classes that I wanted to take, and to be part of the larger Harvard community.
  • 16 Players Selected to National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society

    Succeeding in the classroom in addition to on the gridiron, 16 Harvard football players were selected to the National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society. 424 colleges and universities had a player honored, but Harvard was the only Division I school to have 16 or more selections, and one of two schools at any level, joining Division III member Saint John’s (MN).
  • Jones to Serve on Division I Football Oversight Committee Student-Athlete Connection Group

    Getting the platform to affect change on a national scale, rising junior defensive back Max Jones of the Harvard football program has been selected to serve on the NCAA Division I Football Oversight Committee Student-Athlete Connection Group. The 52 players, spread across both the FBS and FCS levels, will hold its first conference call on Sunday, March 31.

    Harvard played host to its Football Pro Day on Wednesday morning at Palmer Dixon Strength & Conditioning Center and Mignone Field. The Crimson had four seniors participate with seven other players from area schools joining in on the action.

Senior offensive lineman Larry Allen and rising senior Wesley Ogsbury each earned first-team nods while senior defensive lineman Stone Hart picked up second-team honors.

  • Football Set for 135th Playing of The Game Saturday at Fenway Park; Game on ESPN2

    Harvard. Yale. The 135th playing of The Game at historic Fenway Park. The Game will be shown live on ESPN2 and ESPN+ and will be carried over the radio on Bloomberg WRCA (1330 AM/106.1 FM). The Crimson heads into the game 5-4 overall and 3-3 in the Ivy League, while the Bulldogs own a 5-4 and 3-3 mark. The winner of The Game will finish third in the Ancient Eight standings this year.
  • Reflection of The 1968 Game

    The game could not have ended the same way today. Once Harvard scored the tying points with no time remaining there would have been overtime, as there was in 2005 when the Crimson came from 18 points in arrears to win 30-24 in the gloaming at the Bowl. The squads would have kept playing, by torchlight if necessary, until the stalemate was broken. Perhaps Harvard's momentary magic would have carried over. Or maybe Yale wizard Brian Dowling, the ball finally back in his hands, would have run or thrown for his fifth touchdown.
