CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Harvard football landed two players on Phil Steele Preseason FCS All-America teams, returner/wide receiver Justice Shelton-Mosley and offensive lineman Larry Allen, as released Friday. The Crimson seniors are two of only five honorees from the Ivy League.
Earning his second-consecutive nomination, Shelton-Mosley secures first team All-America honors for his punt returning. Last season, Shelton-Mosley was the top punt returner in the FCS, leading the Ivy League with an 18.8-yard punt return average.
Allen receives his first Phil Steele preseason nomination, landing a fourth team selection for his performance. In 2016, Allen started all 10 games for the Crimson, garnering several accolades including All-Ivy League first team honors and New England Football Writers' All-New England.
Both players were also named to the STATS FCS Preseason All-America first team.
Harvard opens the 2018 season at home against San Diego on Sept. 15 with a noon kickoff. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
