McIntyre Named Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week

The award is the first weekly Ivy League honor for McIntyre (Gil Talbot).

PRINCETON, N.J. – Three days removed from kicking the game-winning field goal as time expired against Holy Cross, junior Jake McIntyre has been selected as the Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week.

McIntyre connected on four field goals in a 33-31 victory over Holy Cross, hitting from distances of 34, 21, 30 and 25 yards, the latter of which sent Harvard to the victory. With his 13 points in the game, McIntyre moved into a tie for fifth in the Harvard record books for scoring by a kicker. He is also just three field goals shy of setting a new program benchmark.

McIntyre has connected on 10 field goals in five games, and ranks second nationally with two field goals per game. Harvard hosts Princeton to continue the Ivy League slate on Saturday, Oct. 20 at noon on ESPN+.
