CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—A trio of Harvard football players have been named to the All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division I FCS Team as announced Friday by the organization. Senior offensive lineman Larry Allen and rising senior Wesley Ogsbury each earned first-team nods while senior defensive lineman Stone Hart picked up second-team honors.
Allen, a 2016 ECAC FCS All-Star Team pick, earned first-team honors for his performance on the offensive line. Picking up several accolades this season including his third All-Ivy selection, Allen finished his senior campaign with starts in all 10 games for the Crimson, helping Harvard to 30.4 points per game and 437.8 yards per game.
Newly-elected as the 146th Harvard football captain, Ogsbury landed received first-team accolades after a standout 2018 season. Leading the team with six interceptions, Ogsbury finished the year ranked second in the Ivy League and third in the nation in total interceptions.
A product of Olympia, Washington, Hart earned second-team defensive honors after leading the Crimson with 8.5 tackles for loss in his final season. Ranking sixth on the team in total tackles with 32, Hart was a finalist for the Asa S. Bushnell Cup for the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year. In addition, Hart's commanding presence on defense also earned the senior All-Ivy League first team honors as well as an Academic All-Ivy League nod to conclude his career at Harvard.
The Crimson finished with a 6-4 mark, 4-3 in the Ancient Eight, finishing the season with a three-game win streak. The team capped the 2018 season with a historic 45-27 victory over Yale in the The Game at Fenway Park.
