Head field hockey coach Tjerk van Herwaarden will lead the Crimson to two tournaments and host a weekend of clinics at Harvard in April (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard field hockey team will participate in a pair of tournaments this spring as part of its off-season training program.
Harvard's first off-season action will take place Saturday, April 9 at the UNH Spring Tournament. The Crimson will go up against Northeastern (9:35 a.m.), UNH (11:20 a.m.) and Providence (11:55 a.m.) at the event.
Sunday, April 17 sees the Crimson head across town to participate in the Boston College Spring Tournament. Below is a complete list of the Harvard game times and opponents.
11:20 a.m. – Boston College
12:35 p.m. – Northeastern
2:25 p.m. – Providence
3:35 p.m. – Boston University.
In addition to the two spring tournaments, Harvard field hockey and World Camp USA have announced the dates for its spring hockey clinics and play day. World Camp USA will host two clinics on Saturday, April 23, beginning at 9 a.m. with an individual skill development clinic. The second clinic will begin at 12 p.m. and focus on game play. On Sunday, April 24, World Camp USA will host a 7-on-7 play day featuring U14, U16 and U19 pools. Participants are guaranteed four games of 25 minutes and a clinic with Harvard player and coaches.
