COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Rising sophomore, Kathleen Young of the Harvard field hockey team, has been selected to the U.S. U-19 field hockey team's German tour roster, as announced by USA Field Hockey earlier this week.

Young and the rest of the U-19 USWNT will play three matches against Germany's Junior Team from May 11-17. All three games will be played at the Bad Kreuznach Hockey Club in Bad Breuznach, Germany.

The U-17 (also competing in Germany) and U-19 junior teams have had four training camps since December in preparation for this tour. Those training camps were held at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster County, Pa., the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C., the University of Maryland in College Park, Md. and Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pa.

Young, an All-Ivy League honorable mention choice as a freshman, has played at various levels of the national team for a number of years, including the U-16 National tournament team, U-16 Junior Olympics team and U-19 Futures Elite. She is a native of Essex Junction, Vermont.
