Thornhill Receives Invitation to 2016 Young Women’s National Championship

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Senior midfielder Abbey Thornhill of the Harvard field hockey team has been selected to compete in the 2016 Young Women's National Championship hosted by USA Field Hockey June 28 – July 3 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Thornhill joins approximately 140 of the top players in the nation who have been invited to compete at the event. The Young Women's National Championship serves as a high level, international structured competition and the selection venue for the 2016-17 U.S. U-21 Women's National Team.

A transfer from Wake Forest, Thornhill played in all 17 games last season in her first year in a Crimson uniform.
