CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore Tessel Huibregtsen earned Longstreth/NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week honors, the organization announced today.
Huibregtsen played a key role in No. 9 Harvard's 3-1 win at No. 3 Princeton last Saturday, setting up Harvard's first goal with a clean penalty corner injection on Bente van Vlijmen's goal at 5:46 of the 1st half. Huibregtsen put the game out of reach with a rebound goal at 44:45, as the Crimson went on to win 3-1 against the Tigers. Huibregtsen has a career high 14 points (five goals, four assists) on the year.
With one more Ivy League win, the Crimson (13-1, 5-0 Ivy League) would clinch at least a share of the Ivy League title and the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. Harvard hosts No. 11 Boston College at Berylson Field on Thursday night at 6 p.m. before taking on Dartmouth in a road contest on Saturday.
