CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Qualifying for postseason play for the seventh time in nine seasons, Harvard men's basketball has been selected to face Marquette in the opening round of the 2018 National Invitation Tournament (NIT). The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
Harvard is the seventh seed in its bracket, and will travel to Milwaukee to face Marquette on Wednesday, March 14 at 7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. local time). The NIT appearance is the second for the Crimson in program history, as the team last qualified in 2011, which kicked off a string of four-straight NCAA Tournament appearances from 2012-15.
Marquette finished seventh in the Big East at 9-9, while posting a 19-13 overall record this season. The matchup will be the first between the two schools in program history.
