Saunders '15 Inks Deal with Vanoli Cremona in Italy

Saunders won an Ivy title in each of his four seasons wearing Crimson (Gil Talbot).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Signing in Italy after spending the 2017-18 season in Finland, Wesley Saunders '15 has announced his signing with Vanoli Cremona in Italy's Lega Basket Serie A.

The season will be Saunders second-straight in Europe, after previously spending two seasons in the NBA Development League, most recently with the Windy City Bulls, where he averaged 8.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. Last year for Joensuun Kataja, Saunders posted 14.3 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

The 2013-14 Ivy League Player of the Year, Saunders was a three-time first team All-Ivy honoree, as well as a two-time Lou Henson All-American. The guard finished his Crimson career fourth all-time in program history with 1,511 points and 175 steals.

With his move to Europe, Saunders continues playing amidst an elite group of Crimson student-athletes playing professionally.
