CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Billy Boyce, the Friends of Harvard Lightweight Rowing Coach for Men's Lightweight Crew, recently released the 2020 schedule. The Harvard Lights will race in seven regattas this spring, three of which will be held on the Charles River.
The 2020 spring season opens on April 4-5 when the crew will race back-to-back in Ithaca, N.Y. against Cornell and Penn (Matthews-Leonard Cup) before a quick trip home to face Columbia and Georgetown (Wales-Kirrane Cup) the next day. The following weekend, April 11, the Crimson will go head-to-head with Dartmouth for the Biglin Bowl before hitting the road to take on Navy and Delaware in Annapolis, Md. for the Haines Cup on April 18.
Harvard will return to the Charles River on April 25 to compete for the Goldthwaite and Vogel Cups against Ivy rivals Princeton and Yale. The Crimson will close out the season at Eastern Sprints on May 17 and IRA National Championships May 29-31.
