CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard head coach Peter Brand has announced that senior Brian Kaneshige and junior Duncan O'Brien will serve as captains for the 2014-15 season.

Using the foil, Kaneshige enters his senior season after finishing eighth at the NCAA Championships in March. Kaneshige has been named to the All-America second team for the past two seasons, and earned an honorable mention nod as a freshman. Last season, Kaneshige claimed bronze at the NCAA Northeast Regional after posting a 16-7 record with a +33 indicator. He also posted double-digit victories at the Tradition Tournament and went a perfect 6-0 at the Beanpot.

O'Brien ended a promising 2013-14 campaign with an 11th place finish at the NCAA Northeast Regional. Earning All-Ivy second team honors, O'Brien totaled 12 victories at the Tradition Tournament and  11 wins at the Ivy League Round Robins. Manipulating the sabre, O'Brien also finished with an 8-1 record at the Beanpot, which the Crimson won for the seventh straight time.

After a fifth place national finish to conclude the 2013-14 schedule, Harvard kicks off its new season with a tournament at Sacred Heart on December 7.
