Five Freshmen to Join Men's Fencing in 2016-17

The incoming Crimson will join two All-America selections from last year's squad (Gil Talbot).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Peter Brand, the head coach of the Harvard men's fencing team, has announced the addition of five freshmen for the upcoming 2016-17: Matthew Branman (foil), Erwin Cai (sabre), Philippe Guy (sabre), George Haglund (foil) and Duncan Reingans-Yoo (foil).

Branman hails from Villanova, Pennsylvania, while Cai is a native of Manetta, Georgia. Guy joins Harvard from San Diego, California, Haglund is from Califon, New Jersey, and Rheingans-Yoo joins from Columbia, Maryland.

The five incoming freshman will join a team that went 10-3 in 2015-16 and has five All-Ivy and two All-America honorees returning.
