Queens, N.Y. – The No. 2 Harvard men's fencing team returned to the strip for the St. John's Invitational going 3-2. The Crimson put up victories over No. 3 Penn State, No. 7 Ohio State and host St. John's.

In the opening bout against Penn State, the Crimson secured a 14-13 victory, notching big wins from the sabre and foil squads. Duncan Rheingans-Yoo and Matt Branman tabbed a pair of wins to tip the scale in the Crimson's favor. This marks the second time this season Harvard has found success over the Nittany Lions.

The Crimson saw back-to-back close losses coming from No. 4 Columbia, 14-13 and No. 1 Notre Dame, 15-12. During the contest against the Irish, first-year sabre fencer Jason Oh swept his competitors alongside his teammate Eli Dershwitz. Harvard bounced back after edging Ohio State 15-12 and St. John's 19-8. Harvard took a commanding 6-3 lead over the Red Storm before the foil team of George Haglund, Matt Branman and Duncan Rheingans-Yoo dominated their St. John's competitors 8-1.
