CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – After a successful 2018-19 campaign where the Crimson placed fourth at the NCAA Championships, Harvard has announced its men's and women's 2019-20 schedule.
The team will kick off its season in State College, Pennsylvania at the PSU Open from Nov. 23-24. Nearly two weeks later the women will host Wellesley and Tufts in their first home contests of the year on Dec. 5.
More than a month later on Jan. 18, the Crimson will pack and head to New York for the St. John's Invitational and face host St. John's, Notre Dame, Penn State, Ohio State and Columbia. The men's and women's teams will welcome NYU to Cambridge on Feb. 8 before hosting the Ivy League Championships at Gordon Track on Feb. 9.
In their final test before the NCAA Championships, Harvard will travel down the road on Feb. 12 to face host Boston College, MIT and Brandeis in search of their 12th straight Beanpot title.
To close out the season, the Crimson will travel to Yale for the NCAA Regionals on March 8 with the hopes of matching the 12 fencers it sent to nationals last year. These fencers will then compete in the NCAA Championships in Detroit, Michigan from Thursday, March 19 through Sunday, March 22.
Last season the Crimson finished second at the Ivy League Championships for men and third for women while both teams won the Beanpot title and added a combined six All-Americans to its record books.
All of Harvard's home events, as well as the Ivy League Round Robins, will be available for viewing on ESPN+.
