No. 2 Men’s Fencing Earns Hard-Fought Victory over NYU, 17-10

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- No. 2 Harvard men's fencing (12-3) battled back-and-forth with NYU en route to a 17-10 victory over the Violets.

After dropping the first two sabre bouts the Crimson won four straight to take the lead it would not relinquish for the rest of the match.

The foil squad lead by captains Duncan Rheingans-Yoo and Geoffrey Tourette posted the best record on the day going 7-2. Rheingans-Yoo went 3-0 with a 5-2 victory and the match clinching win in his final bout of the day.

  • Harvard improves to 19-34-1 against the NYU Violets all-time.
