Men's Golf Take Aim at Ivy League Championships

Men's Golf Take Aim at Ivy League Championships

by Director of Golf, Fred Schernecker

The Harvard men's and women's golf teams are playing their practice rounds at historic Baltusrol today, Thursday, April 22, 2010.  They are getting accustomed to the layout and preparing for the  Ivy Championship which will take place this weekend.  The greatest challenge ahead of the teams will be staying in the present -- playing one shot at a time and allowing all of their hard work to pay off.

The Ivy Championship will be played over 54 holes with 18 holes each day -- Friday starting at 8 AM, Saturday starting at 11 AM and Sunday starting at 10:30 AM.  We will not know our starting times for Friday until Thursday night and order of play on Saturday and Sunday will be determined by results the prior day.

For those of you who would like to follow along or check in on scoring, Golfstat is providing "Live Scoring" for the tournament.  You can find the links to the scoring at the following site:

Baltusrol has hosted many USGA and PGA Championships and our teams are thrilled to have the opportunity to test their games on this storied venue.  The men's team will be playing the Lower Course and the women will be playing the Upper Course.
