Trio of Men’s Golfers Named PING All-Northeast Region Honorees

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's golf senior Robert Deng, junior Gregory Royston and senior Kendrick Vinar earned Division I PING All-Northeast Region honors, it was announced by the GCAA.

The trio helped the Crimson to its second-straight Ivy League title this spring.

Royston, the Ivy League Player of the Year, averaged a career-best score of 71.82 this season. At the Ivy League Championship, Royston finished fourth overall with a total score of 218 (plus-two). For his effort, he was also named to the All-Ivy League first team.

Deng and Vinar earned All-Ivy League second team accolades after finishing sixth and eighth, respectively, at the conference championship. Deng averaged 73.05 for the year, while Vinar came in at 72.04.

The All-Northeast region contained 25 athletes, including five from the Ivy League. The Crimson sits second to Penn State (four) with three golfers on the all-region team.
