CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Fred Schernecker '89, the Paul M. Weissman '52 Director of Harvard Golf and The Bobby Jones '24 Coach for Harvard Men's Golf, Kevin Rhoads announced the 2018 fall campaign today (Aug. 20).
The Crimson begins its fall season with the two-day Doc Gimmler Invitational, hosted by St. John's at Bethpage - Red on Sept. 8-9, and mark the 10th consecutive appearance in the event. Harvard will be back in action two weeks later at the Quechee Invitational on Sept. 22-23. Last season, the Crimson finished third in the 14-team field with a two-day, team score of 586.
Closing out the month of September, Harvard travels to The Course at Yale for the MacDonald Cup on Sept. 29-30. Senior captain Aurian Capart was the top-Ivy finish at the 2017 tournament, with a two over par, three-day aggregate score of 212.
Harvard concludes its fall slate with a 36-hole, Ivy Match Play event against Yale and Princeton on Long Island on Oct. 13.
