CAMBRIDGE, Mass.
– Junior defenseman Adam Fox scored twice against his former team, but Harvard men's ice hockey fell, 6-3 to the U.S. NTDP U-18 Team in an exhibition contest.

First year forward Baker Shore added a goal, and senior goaltender Michael Lackey made 13 saves in two periods of action for the Crimson. Junior goaltender Cameron Gornet stopped all nine shots he faced in the third period.

Harvard mounted a spirited third period comeback, as Shore crashed the net for his first goal in a Harvard uniform at 6:29, and Fox made a great individual play, cutting across the slot and beating U.S. goalie Spencer Knight (25 saves) to make it 5-3 with 3:30 to play.

But Matthew Boldy sealed the win with an empty net goal at 19:51.

In a fast-paced first period, the Crimson outshot the U.S. NTDP U-18 Team, 11-3. Harvard had several good scoring opportunities with two power play chances in the frame. But it was the U.S. that struck first. Owen Lindmark stole a pass and beat Lackey over the shoulder at 4:52 to put the visiting team up 1-0.

The U.S. took a 3-0 lead on goals from Michael Gildon (3:34) and Judd Caufield (11:41), but the Crimson responded, as junior defenseman Adam Fox finished a two-on-one down low to cut the lead to two. Sophomore Henry Bowlby made the great pass across the crease to set up the goal at 12:47.

Harvard continued to press the issue, but the U.S. scored two late second period goals to take a commanding 5-1 lead at the second intermission. Patrick Moynihan (17:51), and Caufield (SHG, 19:00) were the goal-scorers for the U.S.
