CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's lacrosse associate head coach Ben DeLuca and assistant coach Joe Nardella are set to participate in the US Lacrosse Grand Opening Weekend with the United States Men's National Team.
DeLuca will serve as the assistant general manager under head coach John Danowski. Nardella will face off in the Blue-White intrasquad scrimmage Sunday at 1 p.m.
The weekend starts Saturday, Sept. 10 with girls' and boys' instructional clinics, followed by the Hall of Fame Induction. Sunday begins with a dedication of the IWLCA Building and Tierney Field.
Team USA will play an intrasquad game as part of player evaluations for the 2018 FIL World Championship at 1 p.m. Following the scrimmage, US Lacrosse will pay tribute to the members of the lacrosse community killed in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 and members of the FDNY and NYPD will play in an exhibition game.
